It includes a basic protective coating for general abrasion and moisture handling and is suitable for straightforward projects where premium performance isn’t a priority. For customers seeking stronger durability, better print performance, richer finish options, or overall higher-quality results, we recommend considering Apex or Arrestox instead. Both offer significantly improved performance and are better suited for professional-grade book covers, premium packaging, and demanding production environments.

Cowhide
Cowhide is genuine leather that has been processed to make it thin enough for your turned edge application. It is sold by the side. The sides average approximately 20 square feet per side. There are currently 11 colours and finishes to choose from. We do not sheet the cowhide since there is always a waste factor because of the shape of the side.
Genuine cowhide leather treated for turned edge(thinner), chrome tanned and re-tanned with a vegetable extract. The leather is dyed with environmentally safe dyes then pigment finished and finally it is sprayed with a water based resin top coat.

Eco-Cover
Eco-Cover® is a basic, flexible material used for general presentation covers and simple perfect-bound projects. Made from a saturated base with an acrylic top coat, it offers standard options such as coated or uncoated backs and a few soft-touch or matte finishes. It’s available in a range of common colors, several embossings, and a few thicknesses—but overall, it’s best suited for projects where enhanced durability, richer texture, or a more polished look aren’t priorities.
For customers seeking higher-quality performance, a more professional aesthetic, or a stronger long-term solution, we recommend Skivertex 17 or Lexitone. Both offer a noticeably superior finishing result and are preferred for premium books, packaging, and elevated presentation work.

Iridescents by Corvon
Shimmering, lustrous iridescent coating in a latex-saturated covering material. Iridescents by Corvon is available in 16 colours with Polish, Weave and Bengaline textures.
Kennett
Kennett natural finish book cloth is a starch-filled cotton with a natural finish. As it is affordable priced and decorable, Kennett cloth can be used in full cover and spine applications. Because it accepts glue well Kennett cloth is suitable for turned-edge work. Kennett cloth would be the choice for those looking to make the first impression that only a true natural finish can offer.

Lexotone 17

Luminaire
Luminaire book cloth light-infused 100% natural cotton is coated with a pearlescent aqueous coating. This premium grade B fabric retains the look and feel of a woven fabric. New to the industry, Luminaire’s pearlescent glow is extremely unique. This cloth performs well in a wide range of packaging and specialty bookbinding applications. It is exceptionally functional and accepts glue well.
Because Luminaire cloth is easy to decorate, you can use the technique of your choice to create a unique look therefore increasing consumer appeal for both book cover and packaging applications.
Mirage Vintage®
Mirage® Vintage is a material designed to replicate the look of aged leather. It’s available in two surface textures and can accept heat-burnished artwork for projects requiring a retro or antique-style appearance. It is commonly used for items such as books, binders, journals, bibles, and various types of packaging.
For projects where a more premium or refined finish is needed, Montelena is a much better alternative.
New Canapetta Extra
Canapetta book cloth is a medium weight, acid-free & issue lined cover material. It is made of a cotton/linen mixture which gives it a textured and natural feel. Recommended for books, repairs, cloth-covered enclosures, and new cases for books.

Rainbow 17
Rainbow® 17 is a 395gsm cover material featuring a water-based color coating and acrylic top coat on the front, paired with a white clay-coated back. It comes in a range of traditional colors and embossings that mimic leather or linen, offering a straightforward and economical option for self-supporting books, perfect-bound books, bibles, and guides. For projects requiring a more durable or refined finish, Lexotone 17 or Skivertex 17 may provide a stronger alternative.
Rainbow 80 Hemp
Rainbow® 80 Hemp is an 80#, 100% PCW (Post Consumer Waste) Kraft that maintains exceptional stamping and printing capabilities in a diverse and environmentally friendly cover material. Rainbow® 80 is well-known as the market leader in covering material for full cover, side, spine, and endleaf for hardcover books, and makes a fine packaging wrap for a variety of industries such as wine & spirits, fragrance, fashion, apparel, food, etc.
Rainbow® 80 makes the perfect canvas for screen printing, UV, and offset printing, or for decorating with blind or foil stamp. For optimal digital printing, custom Digital Black and Digital Opaque colors offer HP Indigo Certified options.
Rainbow LX (Rainbow 9)®
Rainbow® LX is a functional covering option suitable for standard applications where basic durability and flexibility are acceptable. It is available in various colors, and its intended to meet very basic needs. Rainbow® LX may be considered for projects with limited performance demands or where cost and availability are primary considerations, but for a more impressive option, we’d suggest considering Titan, our newest offering.

Summit by Skivertex
Summit by Skivertex is a durable latex saturated cover material with great visuals. It is a great alternative to expensive cloth.
Taratan II
Taratan II is a 0.35mm Polyurethane premium bonded leather. It is unsurpassed in quality and durability. Taratan II has the look, feel and smell of genuine leather because it is tannery made. The cowhide fibers used in producing the Taratan II come from the tanning process when the hides are brought to a uniform thickness.
Tasmania
Tasmania book cloth is a popular tissue lined rayon viscose with a textured and natural finish. Durable and colorfast, it is recommended for books, photo albums, catalogs, folders, binders.
